Harry 'The Bullit Buxton competed yesterday on the J5/8 near Uttoxeter. His debut ride on the Eleven Sprocket ESP ARO 88T wheels, it was always going to be interesting to see whether they would live up to his expectations.
After an uncertain start to the day and a 30 minute delay due to bad weather, the wind finally dropped and riders were given the green light. Missing any form of warm up due to the delay, it was straight to the line as one of the first riders to hit the road. In windy conditions with stop/start rain it was always going to be an uphill battle. The open, out and back course left very little shelter and being held up by cars only added to the problems. The Bullit wasn't producing his usual power either, on crossing the finish line his average came up 20 Watts short.
The weather gradually improved as Harry waited for the remaining riders to finish their runs, unsure of what he had produced. After an agonising wait the results were in.....
Overall time = 52:44
Setting a Personal best by 2min 30secs and taking the Junior win by 1min 38secs. An awesome time that placed him 10th overall! What a result! A fantastic ride by the THRE Datawolves rider and as a debut for Eleven Sprocket, we're pretty happy ;)
Way to go 'Bullit', it must have been the custom champion bands that did it!
